Galvin Green Edge Review

The Galvin Green Edge Skintight Base Layer is the latest addition to the Galvin Green Swedish-based weather wear brand featuring Compression Technology.

The skintight base layer is made from 92% polyester and 8% spandex and is available in sizes extra small (XS)  to very large (XXXL). The colour of the base layer is black and grey.  There is a logo on the right sleeve.

The 'secret Weapon' of the Galvin Green Edge vest is the multi-layer body mapping Compression Technology, which supplies the golf player with several advantages.

* Extra layers are provided where needed and less layers where more flexibility is required.

* The garment's skin tight fit protects the upper body from low temperatures.

* Compression technology comes in two categories, compression 20 for playing in temperatures of 20 degrees celsius and below, and compression 10 which protects whilst playing in temperatures below 10 degrees celsius.

* This range is achieved by the high-tech hollow fibres in the inner layer which, while adding a warming effect during play also prevent overheating, and remove moisture from perspiration from the body.

* Extra compression layers give added support around the muscles where it most needed, like the back, chest and upper arms during play, by stimulating the movement of oxygen to the muscles, while mesh fabric used in the under arm section of the base garment allows for ventilation and emission of excess heat and moisture.

Because of the skin tight fit of the Galvin Green Edge vest, posture is improve. Muscle vibration is limited and the risk of
muscle strains and injuries are thereby reduced.

The vest is machine washable, utilising Anti-bacterial technology to keep the garment fresh.

Ultimately, the Galvin Green Edge base layer efficiently keeps the body comfortably warm and supported during play whilst
efficiently removing perspiration allowing the player to feel at his best throughout his game.

New TaylorMade R11 Irons Review

As a golfer who can use all the help he can get, I am always looking for an edge on my friends when we play. I am not the type of golfer who buys the latest product to hit the market every six months. However, when I saw TaylorMade was releasing its new series of irons, I had to try them.

The R11 irons are just what I needed to improve my middle and short game. I'm a pretty decent driver but my iron play needed some help. The R11 irons have changed my game dramatically this year.  Not only do I get amazing height on my shot, I get length as well. I have gained approximately 30 yards in distance with the R11 irons. Being an average golfer, I need every advantage I can get from my clubs. These irons are very forgiving so when I hit the ball a little off center, it still stays in play. I have shaved strokes off my handicap using the R11 irons.

The R11 irons are very easy to swing and feel comfortable in your hands. Some irons feel heavy and awkward on the backswing and on follow through.  The R11ís  actually feel custom fitted and provide the grip I look for in an iron. The thin clubface provides a soft feel on impact with no vibration resonating back up into your hands. They simply glide through the ball with no feeling of resistance. Honestly, I cannot remember when I had a set of irons that provides this kind of an overall performance.

Sure new irons may not be as sexy as pulling out the driver to impress your golf buddies. What will impress them is the improved play of your game and the score you put on your card. If you have been waiting to buy new irons, the wait is over. Go out and purchase the TaylorMade R11 iron set.  Once you try them, you will wonder how you played without them.

Mizuno MP-59 Irons Review

Mizuno's MP-59 Irons out did themselves

Mizuno has done it yet again, astounding me with their newest MP iron series.  The Mizuno MP-59's are by far one of the best clubs I have held in my hand.  One of the things that impressed me most about this club was it's ability to forgive a little a bit more than most other clubs.  I believe the key factor in this is that it has a little bit bigger sweet spot on it, and it has about 12 grams of titanium added into the head.

With this new design it gives the more experienced players more control over the maneuverability of their shot.  When I had hit the 5 iron for my first time, I could definitely notice the stability I had when my shots were a little off, thus improving my game.  In my opinion what they did with the Grain flow forging was absolutely brilliant.   The smoothness when striking the ball with that technology in mind was incredible and very noticeable.  Now the Gold steel shaft they used for the club  was an absolutely great idea as well, considering it is by far one of the best shafts in the industry.

Now if your a little less experienced golf player it might take you a little bit to adjust to them but eventually you will grow to love them and not want to trade them in until the next model in the MP iron set.  Now if your just starting out then I would suggest working your way up to these clubs.  Mizuno definitely went all out for this club and I am entirely happy with the way it performed and handled in the field.  So if I were you I would at least go to your local pro shop and give them a swing around, and see what you think.
